![]() A data breach reported by a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based electronic medical records company that affects nearly 4 million patients nationwide has resulted in a class-action lawsuit and the Indiana attorney general’s office urging Hoosiers whose information was accessed to consider freezing their credit. Medical Informatics Engineering Inc. originally reported the data breach June 10. According to the company, on May 26, it noticed suspicious activity on one of its servers and subsequently found that “some personal and protected health information” of clients and individuals using MIE electronic health records had been accessed. Among the data compromised during the cyber attack were patients’ Social Security numbers, lab results, medical conditions and health plan information. Read more at KPC News....
