![]() Discovered on June 19, the intrusion was first spotted on the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Central Administration information technology networks, but a subsequent investigation revealed that eight schools and administrative organizations have been affected altogether. The University has called in federal law enforcement and external infosec experts to help with the investigation and to harden the University's IT systems against cyber attacks. "At this time, we have no indication that research data or personal data managed by Harvard systems (e.g. social security numbers) have been exposed.
