A fashion blogger for Aesthetic Post who claimed to be a stylist for the actor Johnny Depp and the musician Brandon Flowers — and then bought expensive clothing in Manhattan boutiques, purportedly on their behalf — has pleaded guilty in a deal that allows him to avoid prison.
The blogger, David Tripp, 32, pleaded guilty to 13 counts of identity theft, attempted identity theft and forgery. He admitted to using stolen credit card numbers to steal from Marc Jacobs, Carven, Acne Studios, 3.1 Phillip Lim, What Goes Around Comes Around, Marni Edition, Jil Sander, Editions de Parfums and Osswald.
